Our Vision
As a Catholic School in the 400 year old Mary Ward tradition we aim:
- To be a community true to the spirit and values of Mary Ward, that fosters through learning and faith a direct personal relationship with God, a sense of belonging and acts of justice.
- To provide both a diverse authentic futures directed curriculum and an enriching co-curricular program that is innovative and reflective of the changing needs of our students living in the 21st century as global citizens.
- To foster and develop the social and emotional well being and personal growth of our students. Through reflective and holistic practices, students will be affirmed, supported and empowered to make responsible and informed choices in a climate of optimism.
- To foster the social and emotional growth of our boarders and guide and care for them in a homely environment while they live and study away from their families. Through reflective and holistic practices, students will be affirmed, supported, empowered and challenged to make responsible and informed choices for themselves, others and their communal living environment.
- To promote professional excellence and pastoral care of all staff in a culture of trust and optimism where people are affirmed, supported and empowered.
- To work towards the continuous improvement of all College facilities and resources by designing amenities for flexible, adaptable and creative uses that will enhance teaching and learning regardless of space, place and time. The principles of equity, environmental sustainability, security and wise use of the available resources are fundamental for all future planning.
- To know, appreciate, respect, value, celebrate and share our rich heritage in its many forms: religious, cultural, educational, physical and philosophical so that it can guide and inform our community for the future.
- To work in partnership with the community to strategically plan and develop the College’s future business directions to ensure its sustainability as a going concern into the future.
