LORETO COMMUNITY
Loreto has a rich tradition of strong community spirit made good with family ties over generations, long lasting friendships and energies given to help the School and each other.
Social and fundraising events are held throughout the year by students, parents, past parents and OS groups. For new parents this begins with a warm welcome by the Principal and P&F together at our ever popular New Parents’ Cocktail Evening held in the beautiful heritage gardens. So begins what is an exciting and rewarding journey as new friends are found and opportunities taken to get involved in the life of the School.

CLASS REPRESENTATIVES
Class Representatives form an important link between the P&F, the Community Events Office, the parents in each class and are also an important point of contact for class teachers.
Class reps together plan a calendar of social activities including café mornings and ‘bottle and plate’ nights where parents can meet their ‘classmates’ in an informal, social atmosphere.
They lend support to the P&F to develop fundraising initiatives, the biggest of which is the annual Family Day held in term one.
Class Reps remain an important and integral part of our community networking and Loreto greatly appreciates the time given by the many parents who enthusiastically take on this role.
VOLUNTEERING AT LORETO
Here at Loreto we have an incredible number of very community minded people helping the School in many different ways.
Meet some of our volunteers on the job.

Family Day alone saw more than 80 key people in organising and active roles plus the many who also helped on the stalls on the day. The various P&F initiated events throughout the year would not happen without parents’ generous donation of time and energy.
Class Reps number 45, representing all year levels throughout the Junior and Senior School. Up to 50 parents are assisting with Performing Arts in R-5.
Over 60 volunteers, comprising grandparents, friends and parents participate in Classroom assistance with reading, excursions and LAP and a further number of volunteers assist with coaching sporting teams in the Junior and Senior Schools.
Volunteer numbers in the Tuckshop exceed 150
The Spring Art Show Committee is well ahead with planning, and blazing the trail for another well anticipated Spring Exhibition.
The Loreto Old Scholars Association is heavily involved in fundraising and friendraising activities
The School Council and members of Council Committees also generously give of their time and expertise.
We have many, many people with different talents and energies. All with good hearts who are willing to share, to help the School, to make friends and receive the joy of giving.
A very big THANK YOU to all!
