Parents & Friends

Loreto Parents & Friends share a common goal: namely to provide the best education for our daughters in a Catholic environment of love, care, respect and encouragement for them as individuals.

Recognising that more can be achieved by people working together towards common goals than by individuals working alone, the Loreto Parents & Friends Association exists as the formal organisation within the College community most readily accessible to those who wish to contribute their active support.

Further, as the organisation accepted by the College as the parent representative body, the P&F is the most effective spokesperson on matters of common concern to parents.

All Loreto parents are automatically members of the Association who elect the P&F Management Committee at the Annual General Meeting.  The Committee reports to the P&F Monthly Meeting to which all parents are invited to attend and contribute.

The Loreto P&F Association has three major roles:

1. Representing Parents

• To represent parent interests in Loreto College.
• To facilitate effective communication between parents and the College.
• To provide an effective forum for parents to formally raise issues of common interest.
• To give parents and families the opportunity of meeting socially.

2. Providing Services

• To provide services to the College of benefit to students.

3. Fundraising

• To raise funds to provide our children with the 'extras'; items or facilities of obvious benefit but which reasonably we should not expect our school fees to cover.

The February P&F meeting has been cancelled. Next meeting will be on Monday 5 March 7:30pm in the Mary Ward Room.

The P&F's formal meeting to manage the activities and finances is a readily acessible forum for parents to raise issues of interest. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month during school terms and take place from 7.45pm in the Mary Ward Meeting Room, located on the first floor of the Mary Ward Wing on the Senior Campus.

Recognised as an important South Australian art exhibition, this function offers parents and friends the opportunity to financially support the College by their attendance and if they so desire, by purchasing the exhibited artworks produced predominantly by local artists.

Our major social function of the year.

Held on the beautiful grounds of the College on the last Saturday in March, the annual Family Day is the opportunity for us all to come together and enjoy good company, good food, and good fun in a totally relaxed atmoshpere.

• Film Nights
• Father / Daughter Camps
