Enrolment at Loreto

Loreto College educates strong, passionate and confident girls and young women. Firmly grounded by our rich past, we are focused on directing the future by providing an outstanding education for your daughter. We look forward to sharing the gifts of a Loreto education with our prospective students and families.

              Enrolment at Loreto

Parents and caregivers are welcome to submit an enrolment application at any time; however, we encourage the submission of applications as early as possible in order to ensure greater success in being offered a position in the chosen year of entry.

All applicants are placed on a waiting list, and places will be offered according to the following key priorities:

  1. The date on which the application was received
  2. Girls whose sisters already attend the College

Places will be offered subject to availability and enrolment priorities. A formal offer will be made after an enrolment interview which may take place up to two years prior to the requested entry date.

Come and Try Days

To assist our prospective families with their decision making, the College invites your daughter to a 'Come and Try' Day at Loreto, and for regional students to spend a night in our Boarding House.

This allows your daughter to experience what it is like to be a Loreto Girl, meet other students in their year level and their teachers, as well as participate in classroom and co-curricular activities. A student buddy will be assigned on the day so your daughter feels most welcome.

Please contact our Enrolments Manager to book a Come and Try Day at a time most convenient for you. Phone 8334 4200 or email enrolments@loreto.sa.edu.au.

Enrolment Process

Step 1: Visit the College

What happens after I apply?

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive written confirmation, and your application will be processed.

Your application will be placed on a waiting list, in order of the date on which the application was received. When a place becomes available for your daughter's chosen year and year level of entry, she will be invited for an interview with the Enrolments Manager and, where possible, the Principal.

Following your interview:

  • You will receive an offer of placement and an Acceptance Form from the Principal
  • To accept the offer, you will be asked to complete the Acceptance Form and pay a non-refundable Acceptance Fee

Prior to commencement

In the term prior to commencement at Loreto, you will begin the transition process. This is an exciting time for the girls and their parents and helps you to become acquainted with school life at Loreto College.

Orientation Days, for new students (Years 1-12), are held during the fourth school term each year. For Reception students, transition visits are held in the term prior to commencement.

You will begin to receive information from us about parent orientation and our student ‘Making Connections’ days; as well as general information about uniform and book purchase, school policies and practice, co-curricular activity, curriculum and subject choices (if relevant) and general fee payment and administrative information.
