Talking to Brick Walls

The 12 Drama class have been working incredibly hard to bring the SACE Drama Production to the stage. Talking to Brick Walls is a hybrid verbatim play about the dynamics between parents and teenagers. Teenagers are changing, asserting their independence and working out their identities… but they still need their parents. Meanwhile, have they ever really thought about how hard it is to be a parent? Really??

The piece was co-created by eleven young artists alongside facilitators Claire Christian and Ari Palani over a period of three and a half months. This is the conversation they wanted to have.

The production takes place in the Performing Arts Centre at 6pm on April 2^nd and April 3^rd (Wednesday and Thursday Week 10).

This is a free event and no tickets are required.

Loreto College Marryatville R-6 Teacher Sarah Shaw has been recognised as a 2026 Rising Star by The Educator

Loreto College Marryatville is proud to announce that College Junior School teacher, Ms Sarah Shaw, has been recognised as a 2026 Rising Star by The Educator for her outstanding contribution to contemporary primary education. The Rising Stars 2026 by The Educator recognises emerging leaders aged 35 and under across Australia’s K–12 sector who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and measurable impact in the early stages of their careers. Ms Shaw is one of four recipients recognised from South Australia and the only educator from a girls’ school included in this year’s list.
