Madonna King Presentation: L Platers

Madonna King is one of Australia’s most accomplished journalists, having won awards for her ABC Radio Brisbane Mornings current affairs program. She writes across Nine, Crikey and The New Daily, and is the author of numerous books, including the bestselling Being 14, Fathers and Daughters and Ten-ager. For her latest book, L Platers, Madonna consulted 1000 young women, along with parents, senior educators, and health care professionals in her research, to deliver the answers we need as parents and educators to help our girls on the road to adulthood. After her presentation, Madonna will be available for signings and individual questions in the foyer of the Performing Arts Centre.

Loreto College Marryatville R-6 Teacher Sarah Shaw has been recognised as a 2026 Rising Star by The Educator

Loreto College Marryatville is proud to announce that College Junior School teacher, Ms Sarah Shaw, has been recognised as a 2026 Rising Star by The Educator for her outstanding contribution to contemporary primary education. The Rising Stars 2026 by The Educator recognises emerging leaders aged 35 and under across Australia’s K–12 sector who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and measurable impact in the early stages of their careers. Ms Shaw is one of four recipients recognised from South Australia and the only educator from a girls’ school included in this year’s list.
